Westlake International’s Fundraising Carnival

Westlake International school conducted their biggest event of the year last week, a fundraising carnival ‘WWW: We care We share We Give’ to raise funds for the orphanages in Kampar. It was held from 10am to 3pm, consisting of game activities, blood donation, raffles draw, lucky prizes like a Sharp LED TV and varities of food sold by the students.

Stray Dogs issue in West City

Students in Kampar are familiar with the issue of stray dogs not only in West City, but also throughout Westlake and New town. It has also become an issue especially when it comes to the clealiness of the streets and alleys, as the stray dogs would dig through the rubbish scouting for food causing a mess.

Kampar Westlake Homes is a residential area mainly for students of University Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR). However, there are a plenty of cases happening around Harvard, a subarea under Westlake Homes which have severely threatened the safety of the residents.
