On March 15, 2017 at around 11o’clock in the morning, Queslyn Lim, aged 22 years old who stays at Westlake Stanford area claimed that she was being sexually harassed by a renovation worker who entered her room to renovate her private washroom.
“I was informed by my house owner to let the worker in so that he could undergo some renovations in my private washroom,” said Queslyn.
The worker then started to send her explicit text messages while he was renovating inside the washroom .

The worker sent messages with explicit content asking if Queslyn could help him in solving his sexual desire.
“I was really scared when I received those messages,” said Queslyn.
“I was afraid that he would come out from my washroom and assault me for real,” Queslyn continued.
She then informed her house owner about the incident to send feedback to the relevant renovation company.

“The person-in-charge of the renovation company apologized to me through text messages on the next day, and he assured to me that this won’t happen again in the future, said Queslyn.
Eric, the manager of the renovation company said that they would take full responsibility regarding to the incident.
“Our company has sacked the worker who had sexually harassed the female student, and if the victim wants to make police report, we are willing to cooperate with her,” said Eric.
Mike, a student RELA around Kampar Westlake and Westcity area suggested that female students should ask for friend’s company when they need to let renovation workers enter their room.
“Whoever in need of assistance can turn to us for help too, our responsibility is to make sure that the community is safe,” said Mike.
Mike also encouraged students to join an informative group named “Kampar Student Security Hub” on Wechat mobile application, where students in the group would share security related information among the community for safety purpose.

When Queslyn rejected him, he then requested again.
