KAMPAR– The Chinese Language Society of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) organized a half day welcoming events and game stations to welcome new members and new students to join the society.

 

Around 30 students and committees from the society attended the event which held at Block N and Grand Hall of the Kampar campus.

 

The event was started from morning 10 am with opening section and ended at 5:30 pm in the evening.

 

The hot temperature of the environment doesn’t stop the participants to join the event.

 

The chairperson for this welcoming event who named Winson Goh was delivered his speech during the open ceremony.

Winson said this was the first time for the welcoming event to invite the representative from the talent class of UTAR Chinese Debate Club, UTAR Chinese Tea Art’C, UTAR Chinese Diabolo, UTAR Chinese Dance Club and Event Planner together to introduce the activities to the new members.

​

“They had prepared for very long time just to wait the coming of the interaction on that day” said by Winson.

 

“Thank you for the coming of your guys for today and stay at the very hot temperature environment together with us”

 

The chairperson for the Chinese Language Society, Leo Tan said welcome to the new members and the participants of this event.

​

The game station was started after the break of lunch.

 

Participants were arranged into 6 groups with guide of the leader among the group and they were required to play total 25 station games and interact with one another.

​

They need to complete the bingo game according to the number of the game station.

 

Majority of the participants were from foundation and the new intakes of the semester of January.

 

The participants can involved themselves and to cooperate with other group members to complete tasks.

 

The participants need to face challenges from the “black shirt monster” while they were at the game station.

 

If they can complete the task of the “black shirt monster”, the participants can used the results to skip one of the stations as they want.

 

The champion of winner team of the game station was for the first group and they had received the awards from the event chairperson.

 

The new members can choose to join the club which introduced at the beginning of the events.

 

They also can register themselves via online form and is free of charge for everyone.

​

All the participants also shared their feelings about the events and which one of the games was the best for them.

 

Water game was continued after the short break of the station games and this was the last game for the interaction day.

 

The hot weather was suitable for played the water and it can improve the relationship among the members.

​

All the committees and helpers were felt grateful and they said thank you to all the participants.

 

The committees and helpers of the event also prepared the dumplings and sing K section for the participants.
