KUCHING: All-England mixed doubles runners-up Chan Peng Soon-Goh Liu Ying have withdrawn from next week’s Singapore Open due to Liu Ying’s hand injury.

 

The injury resulted in the world No. 6 pair losing to Edi Subaktiar-Gloria Emanuelle Wid­jaja of Indonesia in the first round of the Malaysian Open.

 

“I’m definitely out of the Singapore Open. I’m not sure if I can make the Sudirman Cup (in May),” said Liu Ying.

 

“I'll cut down on the number of tournaments and focus on getting ready for the World Championships (in August).”
